Welcome to lori b pottery! 

Each piece is hand crafted by me with love and attention to detail  in my cozy home studio in Napa, CA.

 I use high-quality materials to ensure that each pottery piece is not only beautiful, but also functional. I only use commercial glazes that are labeled lead free and food safe.

I work with stoneware and porcelain clays that are fired twice to a temperature that makes the pieces durable and dishwasher and microwave safe, unless noted otherwise.

I am passionate about creating unique, beautiful and functional pottery.  I love using different color combinations to create pieces that can be energizing, calming, and inspiring.

I created this studio in my two bedroom apartment. It has everything I need...and more, with the exception of a kiln, which I'm planning on purchasing by the end of the year. In the center of my studio is my Shimpo pottery wheel, where I make many of my pieces. When I'm not using my wheel I'm creating hand built pieces at my work bench on the right.  

I have a collection of almost 100 glazes . Yes, I have a glaze problem! You can see most of my glazes on the shelves to the right of the window. On the left is my drying rack. It insures that the pottery will dry slowly, making is less likely to crack or warp. I love being in my studio!
